Not withstanding language differences, in the past I also took fear into travel situations as I have always lived in rural northern climes that are 99 1/2 % pure white. I was unaware of being looked down. In campground this year as I tried to give a (wasp stung) young woman (who only spoke spanish) white vinegar which had taken away my pain from a wasp sting, we both seemed to iexpress regret to not communicate.
