in DC that means helicopters....
mosquitos and no-seeums: def. plan on picking up some DEET at a grocery store when you get there's really but no need to pack that.
as far as packing for the plane goes, remember it's mostly limited by weight. and anyway once a family had too much luggage size-wise, and the airline (Nena?) just sent the rest on the next flight.
it can get chilly at night (relative term in February, I know) but I think a full-on sleeping bag might be a bit much, maybe sweats and a light blanket or flannel sheet could suffice for most. layer it up!
