Hi could someone that has been there recently tell me about the different eateries on the island. Food, price, etc. Also, we are staying at Flamenco campground and will probably eat at the kiosk there alot if possible. Do they have anything vegetarian? Thanks

We were in Flamencotwo weeks ago.

In the Kiosks you will find things than you could eat. They sell Tostones(Fried Green Plantians) You will also find a Puerto Rican Favorite Arroz con Gandules (Rice with Pigeon Peas) I also saw a sign for Arroz con Habichuelas (Rice with red beans.

Enjoy... Jorge from Miami

Do you know if any of the bean dishes are made with meat? Thanks

Mamia's yellow rice was made with chicken on one day. The beans had chunks of squash. Ask the vendor as there are dishes made without meat..we had chickpeas with a tomato sauce that was meat-less. If you eat fish, Barbara Rosa's reataurant on the road to the airport has great fish or you could eat her potato and cole slaw without fish. How about eggs?
