Escambron is really nice in San Juan very family oriented and you really get a sense of the culture there!!! I always go to Puerto Rico in July around the 4th, a couple of y ears ago I went during Luis Munoz's birthday. I try to schedule during a holiday so I can experience it through another culture. The traffic in Old San Juan was probably the most bizarre situtation I have ever seen. Luckily for us we were staying at El COnvento. The cars were literally parked in the street because they were not able to move for hours and the locals said it's the same thing every year.
I know here in the us we would get major road rage I never once saw an angry local in the car in all of the traffic Jam it was more of who could play the music the loudest through their car. We are going to San Juan again this July again for the 4th but I am going to plan on going to CUlebra the day after to experience that wonderful place.
