Hotel near Isla Grande?

Hi. I've been lurking here for a few days and found some great information. Thank you!

Question for you all, my husband and I arrive into San Juan at 10.30 p.m. and depart for culebra early the next day. Is there a reasonable and not seedy hotel for less than $150 near the Isla Grande airport?

I see lots of options on Expedia but they are so expensive. We don't need beach access, just something clean and reasonable.

Hi Marci. Try Hotel Milano? It's about 10 minutes from Isla Grande airport, roughly $15 cab ride. We stayed there and flew from IG early the next day. It's in Old San Juan. We got the smallest room (no windows) for $90 and it was clean. Not sure if there is anything closer. I'm sure someone here will come along and pipe up if there is.

Try the Hotel La Playa. We stay there anytime we traveling through San Juan. Close to the airport, right on the water, good lounge and restaurant. Small, but clean and reasonable.

There is a motel right at the airport. It would be the best if you are flying out of International in the morning. It was recently remodeled.

I would have mentioned the name if I was sure, but now I've looked it up and am sure.

Best Western San Juan Airport Hotel

2 people - to April. 23 (high season) $160.00 + tax
2 people - after April 23 (low season ) $136.00 + tax

And, they may quote daily rates, anytime, (lower rates) if they are not busy

They offer free internet and complementry breakfast.

Thanks everyone. We are flying out of Isla Grande so Hotel Milano might be our best bet as it appears to be closest. Thanks for the help... now I just need to figure out how to confirm the flights from IG with Air Flamenco.
