Day trip to Culebra?

I'm travelling to Puerto Rico for four days next week -- will be based in San Juan. I'm wondering if folks think a day trip to Culebra on the fast ferry from Old San Juan is worth it -- or will that be much too rushed?

Also, will the window between 9:45 am and 5:30 pm provide an opportunity for a trip out on the Tanama Glass Bottom boat? I'm travelling with my mom, who is interested in the marine life, but not keen on actually getting into the water herself :-)

CULEBRA IS DEFINENTLY WORTH A DAY TRIP! WE DID IT LAST SEPT AND LIKED SO MUCH THAT WE WILL BE SPENDING 4 DAYS HERE THIS COMMING SEPT.

Culebra is a wonderful place to be in but is better if you reserve everthing ahead the ticket roundtrip i rented a car for the day and it was good you can try Carlos Jeep Rental 787-742-3514 they pick you up and drop off or for a boat ride try Luis 787-309-4301. Hope you have a nice expierence in Culebra.
