Is there high speed Internet access on the island? And what about overnight packages? If I sent a package from Los Angeles to someone in Culebra overnight FedEx or UPS, would it get there in time?

There is high speed internet, and it is a wireless service. You must have a wifi card in your computer. You can pay for it by the hour, day, week, etc.

The postal service is more reliable than FedEx or UPS, and I believe (have heard; don't know if it's true) that you have to pay some sort of PR taxes on incoming packages through FedEx and UPS. I have heard that this is what slows the service down and makes it less reliable. Also, there are no street addresses in Culebra, only PO Boxes. I have found the postal service to provide the same service as it does on the mainland (which can stink). We ship things to friends there often, and priority mail generally arrives within the 3 day time period.

Happy Diving!

Where do you get that high speed from? If I have a house near Zoni Beach, can I get high speed Internet wirelessly then?

Zoni beach house probably does not suscribe to the service.

I don't know if the service reaches out to Zoni as you must be able to see the tower to receive the signal. If you can see the tower then you must subscribe to the service to use it.

You can access internet at Excetera if your house does not subscribe to it.
