This forum is great and very informative! I will be visitning Culebra in a few weeks. Here's one quick question that I haven't found an answer for:

Do US citizens have to clear customs and fill out imigration cards when leaving Puerto Rico? I know you do when leaving the USVI, but I wasn't sure about P.R. Also, is ther any limit on rum and other goods that can be taken back to the states.

to my knowledge, the only thing there are restrictions on is 'agricultural products'. in any other respect it is like flying from any other state.

if you do come by boat from let's say NY though you have to clear customs (formalities vary depending on boat flag)

the rum is not such a bargain ... (if you happen to stop by in cuba or the D.R. though..)

Yo quisiera saber si es posible viaja en el ferry por la mañana y regresar por la tarde. Es que ya tenemos comprometido el verano y no nos podemos quedar en culebra, pero queremo ver como es, para unas proximas vacaciones.
