Before necessity to diversify and to offer to the visitor other attractive tourist products, the municipality of Snake plans to develop a ecoturístico project to a cost of approximately $1 million.
Iván Romero, mayor of the island municipality, indicated that the project will consist of a "passive ecoturístico camping" that will be developed in an estate of 32 land cords near the sector San Idelfonso, who is made up of manglares and a diversity of landscapes.
The project will be to tone with the protection of the atmosphere and includes the rehabilitation of a wharf that at the present time is deteriorated and inoperative, as well as the development of passive activities like strolls to horse, strolls in kayaks and facilities like dining rooms, among other components, that will be attractive for the visitors and the residents of Snake.
Already the House of Representatives was a resolution to assign a bottom of $300.000 that will be twin by the municipality to recover the wharf. Romero explained that this will facilitate the arrival of the luxurious velero/crucero WindSurf, that from the 13 of January will visit the island municipality every two Mondays.
Previously it was reported that the ship of 154 outer cabins and with capacity for 308 passengers would disembark in small boats by the Flamenco beach, where the passengers, in his majority of high economic class, would remain by eight hours.
But Romero indicated that it is in conversations with the Company of Tourism to obtain that the sailboat nondockage in the beach, since it will not generate economy for the island, but that does it in the wharf where there will be alternatives for the benefit of these tourists.

The mayor said that the wharf also it will be able to use the Authority of Ports to berth the ferries as well as the Costanera Guard.
