Wow! I wish I had seen this sooner. I'm actually printing it. We just got back from our first week-long trip about a month ago. Sounds like it's more crowded in April. We saw Villa Flemenco while we were at the beach. It looked nice and we thought we might give it a try because it is right on the beach. We stayed at Tamarindo Estates which we really enjoyed. It was very nice and quiet, full kitchen. Like staying in a country cottage. We almost had the place to ourselves. If you fly in and you have time, eat at SJU before you take the short taxi ride to Isla Grande. Yeah, luggage, you’re only allowed 30 lbs per person, pack light. Jerry is great! We went to Culebrita with Captain Sebastian who made our trip fun and exciting. Captain Sebastian is great too! He took us right up to the lighthouse. It was an all day trip, great beaches and great snorkeling. Our favorite beach was Zoni, lots of palm trees and shade. Shipwreck Bar and Grill south of town was a very nice restaurant too along with the others mentioned. Surprised to hear about Mamacitas that place was very busy. We took the ferry back to Fajardo because we were staying a week on the big island. The ferry ride is very nice and the ferries are new! Thanks for posting all the info, you covered just about everything.
