The roads tend to be full of potholes and broken pavement (or no pavement), and some of the hills are steep. There is a "crater" near the top of the last hill going to Zoni that causes significant problems for many drivers -- Jerry recommends parking at the top of the hill and walking, even with a jeep. If you are used to driving back roads that are narrow, steep and rough you should have no problem, but don't expect smooth pavement, wide lanes, etc. One of the main advantages of a jeep is the high clearance -- you'll be glad you have it if you go to Punta Soldado, for example.
