We are arriving on the island on 8/10/10, and to say that I am excited would be an understatement for sure. I was wondering a couple of things. 1st off, we won't be able to catch the ferry until 4ish, will there be a way to get groceries that late? Next, I have been watching the weather forecasts, & read a post here about all the rain that has been falling. What, if any impact has this had on the diving/snorkeling & getting around? Last, we have been trying to contact the dive shop, regarding certification for scuba, but only had a few questions answered. Does anyone know if there are classes available on the island?

Thanks in advance, & see you soon =)

We were in Culebra last week. The rains didn't seem to hurt snorkling or driving. Several grocerie stores stay open until at least 7 pm. There are at least two dive shops, at least 1 offers classes, don't know times or $ tho.
We loved Culebra, her beaches, bay, our host and room, the food, and her people. Can't wait to go back!

As far as classes go, contact Tazz Hamrick at Aquatic Adventures. We were there the week of July 17 during monsoon weather and gale force winds LOL. Our dive day had to be moved, but since we were there a full week, we had several days to dive. We tried not to let the weather hamper our trip, but it did put a damper on things. No pun intended.

We are a private boat chartering service that will take people to different islands in the Caribbean from Fajardo, PR to anywhere in the Caribbean (Culebra, Vieques, St Thomas, St Croix ect) We have a fleet of two 34’ Chris Craft Scorpions both with over 400hp to speed from island to island. Each boat is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment and a sound system that would set the party mood right. Our captains are certified by the coast guard and are fully documented. We work off our customers schedule 24/7. we can book day trips to one beach close by or two visit 3 beaches in a weekend. We can also arrange hotel accommodations for trips overnight.

We can provide transportation from your hotel anywhere to our boat on demand. Rates can be given on request depending on the type of service needed and the amount of time you would need us for.
