I have shipped a vehicle from the port of NJ to San Juan (Catano port). I believe it cost ~$1000. It took about five days to arrive. Once in San Juan you will need to have it cleared customs. The shipper usually knows someone there who can do this for you. You will also have to pay the duty at the Hascienda (tax office). The same person can pay this for you at the Hacienda with a check that you sent him. The duty charged is based on the value of your vehicle. You should call the Hacienda now and ask them what the duty fee will be. It's now rather high and I have found it not worthwhile to persue any longer, unless you have a classic that you just can't part with. But then again the vehicle you send will quickly be attacked by the sea salt in the air. Good luck.
