I have shipped a vehicle from the port of NJ to San Juan (Catano port). I believe it cost ~$1000. It took about five days to arrive. Once in San Juan you will need to have it cleared customs. The shipper usually knows someone there who can do this for you. You will also have to pay the duty at the Hascienda (tax office). The same person can pay this for you at the Hacienda with a check that you sent him. The duty charged is based on the value of your vehicle. You should call the Hacienda now and ask them what the duty fee will be. It's now rather high and I have found it not worthwhile to persue any longer, unless you have a classic that you just can't part with. But then again the vehicle you send will quickly be attacked by the sea salt in the air. Good luck.

Frank, it was a long time ago so i don't have any of the names or numbers anymore. I used Crowley shipping out of Parsippany, NJ. Call them or go online and they can give you the latest charge for shipping and also a contact at the PR port. I then called the contact at the port and got the number for the Hacienda and the name of a runner to clear customs and pay the duty. he only charged me $25 or $40 for his services. Keep in mind your next fun task would be getting your ride tagged in PR.
