DC, it was impossible to discern from your original post that you are a knowledgeable resident of Culebra. That's why I asked. Your answer to my question did not really enlighten us either, other than you wanted to save money. Usually posters here are on vacation for a couple of weeks max. It really is a waste of time to spend a day to go shopping to Fajardo - IMO. And that's what we are dealing here with - opinions. I know, yours are more valid than mine, but I still am entitled - no?
Would you have mentioned (how is one supposed to do research on your original post?), hey I have a house here and want to throw a party and do not even know my way around Fajardo, my answer would indeed have been different.
Locals have for years had cars parked in Fajardo, fly over, drive to various supermarkets, put the coolers and boxes on the ferry and fly back - that's the way to do it fast.
I still think it's a waste of time and resources unless you go shopping on a different scale than your plans.
Enjoy Culebra!
Michael
