hi. I plan to take a day trip to culebra. I'm thinking about taking the 9 am ferry from fajardo and coming back on 5pm. I'm looking to do some snorkeling and then just chilling at the beach. I'm very hypersensitive to the sun so i'm wondering if there's a place on the beach where i can rent a beach umbrella? or any place in fajardo where i can buy one? Also, any other activities you would recommend since i'll be spending around 8 hours on the island. Thanks everyone.

TC.

Yes, you can rent umbrellas at Flamenco.

Happy Diving!

Just a head's up, you won't be here 8 hours really. The ferry trip is approx. an hour, and on the return it's good to get there a bit early depending on the time of year you are here (winter season - early - that other season - not so early).

I think between getting over here, taking the publico to the beach, renting a chair and umbrella, lazing around, maybe finding something to eat there, lazing around some more and then getting everything ready to head back to the ferry, you'll find the time going quickly! Too quickly.

Have a great time!
