Is there a place to rent or buy boogie boards on the island? Thanks

Hi David,

When we were down over Thanksgiving there were boogie boards for sale at Superette Mayra. We have also previously rented them at La Cava. You may want to check with Ken at the new bike shop also, as they are renting snorkel equipment.

Good luck!

A true Culebra-ite would build their own boogie boards out of palm fronds and grasses. That's what I'd do.

While I lack the creativity to design my own Culeboogie board, my love of intricate directional instructions would certainly inspire me to attack that project on our next trip, if Mort would be so kind as to share his knowledge. Unless of course that would be a violation of the Seven Secret Steps to Becoming a True Culebra-ite.

Mort - in the past you've advocated a combo of crochet and polymer resin, why the change? bit rustic - afraid of comparison to recent Dutch industrial design?

Richard, I've decided to make boogie boards using only what Mother Nature directly provides. It's my small contribution to the future of this planet.
