Does anyone think the lifestyle in culebra will be good if moving from USA with 3 and 5 year old children? Are there any playgrounds around or fun things for kids to do besides going to the beach?

3 and 5? gee, low crime, everyone who actually lives there knows each other, no easy way off the island...might be nice for the next 5-10 years, sort of Mayberry PR.

I'd be more worried about healthcare than diversions.

the school near the airport has a nice playground. and I think a lack of mass media stimuli fosters creativity. having to make one's own fun is always much better and more memorable. (said having been exiled to rural and small-town environments as a child for weeks at a time).

although if I were 15 again, I'd prob. hate it really fast - you'd have to be really dodgy to get away with anything.

Where in the US do you live? What are your educational facilities? Do you speak Spanish? Have you been here more than a few times or at least for any length of time?
Just some questions to consider...holiday is very different than *real life* especially with children.

Other questions might be: What community resources do parents use (for themselves) currently where they live (health related, library, church, support groups, informal social structures - family or kinship structures, work, leisure activities) and for the 2 children (same as for adults + child care, play groups). Is this a 2 adult family? if so, What're the relational strengths/skills or lack therof between the adults? My thinking is that wherever I go, there I am.

Tank you for the comments. Most of these i already haved been thinking of, but it feels nice to see that i haved been doing my homework . The reason We are considering this is because we have a very good work-related opportunity and at the same time we'll be helping a family member. And I also Been doing all my research mostly because of my daughters, we live in pennsylvania , and my 5yr old goes to a very nice public school. We are from PR, and we all speak spanish.

And again I'm very grateful for all your help !
