Mosquito Bay trip

Has anyone taken a charter or side trip to Vieques to the bio-luminesent bay there? Would love to explore it at night but am not sure of the best way to get there from Culebra. We will be on the Island Jan 6th thru 22nd. We would be happy to share a charter if anyone else is interested, there are 4 of us that want to go.

The Bio-Bay is incredible. If you can arrange it, you have to do it. If possible do it when the moon is small and the night is dark. It is an experience you will never forget, but you will never be able to explain it to others. We did it when we were staying on Vieques, so I don't know how to do it from Culebra. Sorry

You need to make it happen!

Hi we are being offered a bio-lumi tour in San Juan - is it as good as the one in Vieques?

Been to the Bio-Bay near Fajardo this past May. INCREDIBLE!!! Something you must see with your own eyes. It's something that can't be explained until you witness it for yourself. Like Terry and Wade mentioned a dark moonless night is best. Never was to the one in Vieques...although, the one near Fajardo is supposed to be 2nd best. Went with a tour company called Puerto Rico Tropical Tours. Tour company picked us up a few blocks from where we stayed at in Old San Juan. El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, and Fajardo Bio-Bay Tour was the itinerary for the day. $ well worth it!
