Can I get WiFi from my boat?

I hate to think of being on your lovely island and having to use the internet, but I am attending school online at DeVry University.
Can I get WiFi on my boat? Where would be the best place to do homework?

The library has Wifi available for a reasonable cost (and a nice deck to work from). You should also be able to get cell phone signal from a boat. We stayed at Dakity and had full bars and I was able to work from there easily.
