Flying from Isla Grande is time effective but, when there are 3 people and you are on a budget, it's $300 + taxi ($40) to fly 3 people round trip vs. maybe being creative in your travel ways and saving here and there. In my family, there are 3 of us and we are always on the budget vacation so we can stretch our $ and make the best of our trip. I agree with Debbie, don't wait until July, you want to make all your reservations now and relax and focus on other trip preparations. Call again and insist (nicely) on a more concrete quote. July is the season for the locals and their family members coming from the U.S. We went to Culebra in July '07 on a Wednesday and the Fajardo Port Authority was packed with travelers.
