hey,

i flew the mail into culebra for the last three years, but am now in California.

Parasailing, yes - paragliding,no.

there's one active hang gliding site on the main island - maybe prwow.com or the us hang gliding assoc. can put you in touch with PR hang gliderers. they'd be able to give the best tips.

i used to sit there all day, basically waiting for the daily mail and i considered getting into paragliding. the highest point is only about 600 feet or so. obstacles aren't too bad. the prevailing wind is off the atlantic ocean.

. . . and then there's those low flying planes coming in for landings between the two highest points on Culebra. LOL!

Happy Diving!

you might get some enthusiastic advice from Jerry, at Jerry's Jeep Rentals (across from the airport). He's an extrovert, pilot, adventurer and long time Culebra expert.
