Well, bites on your skin rather than poison...most would agree with that!! But having some sort of repellent is a good idea in light of dengue. There ARE natural repellents that DO work. Like sun blocks, they need to be applied often. Using citronella candles helps also. As someone who for some reason mosquitos LOVE (I chalk it up to strong phermones or maybe I just have nice sweat), and living in the islands year round for a long time, I don't like having bites on my body and like to sleep at night without the annoying buzz...I do suggest trying to have something that you are comfortable with using - even AVON skin so soft works well, ask fishermen in the Everglades! It works so well that Avon brought out a mosquito repellent based on their OTHER product which became popular not because it was advertised as such, but some person figured it out and marketing took it from there.
