I just get back from Culebra, and I have to write this review!!
I stay at Casa Ensenada, and is just great!!! Jackie and Butch make you feel at home. The place is clean, the room is very well equipped, and is also well located walking distance to down town. Although the check out is kind early , at 10:00am, you can use the patio and the patio shower if you need it.
I also rent a boat with Culebra Boat Rental (Butch's business), and the experience was fantastic. You can go to the remote beaches like Tamarindo beach (A+++) and Culebrita's. The boat is well equipped too, including a very comprehensive chart with pictures of the beaches. The boating area in cerebra is well sign with buoys, so you can avoid shallow waters in the boat.
The place to go for a good bar and good food is Mamacita's. International plates and good service. Also the Cafe Isola, with the European bar look is good for a cold beer and to have some tapas.
Definitively cerebra is a very good alternative, and is not just another Caribbean island.
