Hi Danielle,
You may REALLY want to explore taking the flights from either SJU (International Airport) or the Isla Grande Airport (close to Old San Juan and maybe a little less money). A round trip by air will run you about $100 per person. In order to take the ferry out of Fajardo. You would have to take a taxi (round-trip from San Juan) which will run you well over $60 each way. Then take the ferry out of Fajardo (not much at all). The journey could take up to 6 hours door to door each way! That's 12 hours off your vacation, dragging your luggage! For about $50 more total, you'll fly in 30 minutes from San Juan to Culebra and be on the beach before noon! Here are phone#'s to the airlines servicing the route. Isla Nena Air Service (787-741-1577) and Air Flamenco (787-724-1818), and from San Juan Isla Grande Airport (SIG) on Vieques Air Link (787-722-3736) and Air Flamenco (787-724-6464). Enjoy your vacation!!
Dana
