Not the place to stay if you're looking for service, however........ The snorkeling at the coral beach was the best we saw anywhere (including Rosario, etc.). The swimming pool is almost like your own private pool- only once we shared it with another family ( we stayed a week). The view from our room was the best. A Jeep is definitely important unless you want to spend most of your trip getting to places. If you know what you want to do, Tamarindo is great. If not, not so great.
