Take note if planning to stay at Tamarindo Estates

Guest services are almost non-existent. You pay a high price just for a quiet room and easy acces to the beach, which is good for snorkling

There is no bar or restaurant in the Tamarindo area. Tamarindo Bar & Grill is closed.

If you are not planning to rent a car, I suggest you find another place to stay. There are no hotel courtesy shuttles when you arrive at the airport or Ferry dock. Paid transportation was not easy. We arrived on a Saturday morning and all vans were taking large crowds to Flamenco Beach and we had to wait 45 minutes before anyone would take us.

Transportation at night is difficult. One night we had to walk back to the hotel (40 minute-walk in the rain!) because even paid transportation was unavailable. There was no staff at the hotel that would help us. We got answering machines every time we called after 6.30pm.

Finally, no late check-outs allowed because the hotel was booked. We had to be out of the room by 11.00am, which we found to be a bit early.
