Do you need reservations for the ferry?

I'm headed to Culebra on Saturday March 4th and I've read all sorts of conflicting information about whether you actually need a reservation for the ferry from Fajardo. I can't get through on the phone to make a reservation, although not for lack of trying.

Also, does anyone know what is the real accurate schedule for the ferry on a Saturday. Our flight arrives in San Juan at 1:40 in the afternoon, so I'm wondering which ferry we would be able to catch. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!
