My husband tried the dock near the museum and nothing. He tried the dock down the road from the Dingy Dock, and nothing. On our last day, he tried the shore at Soldier's Point, and did catch a few larger fish than the other places. If you can climb the rocks at Soldier's Point, you have a good chance at a good size fish, or if you take a spear with you, the beach on the left of the ferry dock is where the locals get parrot fish (good size there). We were able to buy 4 parrot fish off of a local (he'd speared them) for $5.
You can get squid at Milkas grocery, and we used hot dog bits as well.
