Hey ... the conditions on the sea cannot be predicted, I have seen changes on it from 1 foot waves, to 3 feet choppy seas, in the same day.
On wintertime, cold fronts and winds from the north make sea get choppy.
I have been navigating those waters for over 22 years, and it is not an easy trip, for small boats.
Ferry, however, is like a 90foot boat, and its slow movement have that effect in people.
Stay always on the stern, ( the aft most part of the boat ) there you will feel less movement.
