I came down for a week and talked to all the local people I could about moving there recently. Having a place to live seemed to be the biggest issue for me, with getting a job coming in 2nd. I am skilled in many things so I should be ok making enough money to survive, but for most people that are only skilled in few areas, making a living would be the hardest thing about moving there.
From what I learned, getting a boat and living on it, seemed to be the easiest and cheapest route. Much more hassle, but with it you avoid the higher costs of rental. Plus it can be used to go to some of the other Islands and such.
I decided not to move there at this time, but possibly do it after a few years when I have gotten some things in order and have purchased a boat.
