The restaurant pavilion at Tamarindo is a terrific sunset spot with Luis Pena's profile adding to the beauty, but you need to check to see whether they are open. If you don't mind a short, brisk hike, walk over to Carlos Rosario. Don't overlook Punta Soldada. Last, but not least, the ferrydock in Dewey and the adjacent Playa Melones. Now you have five spots to choose from; try all five!

If you are staying longer, hike up to the helicopter pad and watch the sun set over the big island!
