MY OWN CAR in Fajardo

I'm planning to travel in my own car from Ponce. I've been told that I have to leave the car at Fajardo. But I really don't understand exactly which part of Fajardo is that and how secure is this?, Is it a parking lot?, Do I have to pay? If so, how much?. This page doesn't say anything about traveling on your own, only by public transportation, so I'm a little confused. I'll appreciate any help.
