I suspect a publico will be my choice of transportation but I don't understand the nuts and bolts of how they operate. Is it one price for the trip divided by the number of passengers or a price per person?

Also, is the price fixed for all publicos and what is the price range?

Finally, is it best to arrange for the publico in advance or can I expect to find one available at SJU and at the ferry terminal?
