We just got back two weeks ago and Tamarindo Estates is great. I never talked to anyone either, just booked over the web. You check in at the airport (quick ride from ferry dock) and they are waiting for you. Give you a truck and you cruise over a hill and into a secluded little paradise. It has snorkeling, a restaurant/bar and beach all within the nature reserve. Air conditioning in the room, outdoor and indoor shower ... indoor has hot water. Room with ice, coolers, beach towels, video collection, etc., all available for your use during your stay.
