Read through the posts on this blog for lots of great info. Also, a couple pages back there is a post called First Time Trip Report - Long & For Beginners. It has lots of good info. You will need lots of sun screen of course and probably bug spray although I don't know if you can use that on a one year old. Probably best not to let him stay in the sun for too long. Most important thing is to relax and have fun.
