Depending on the time of year, you may want to toss a cheap dollar-store plastic poncho in your daypack in case it rains. When we have been there in late March-early April the most rain we have encountered is a few brief (10-15 minute) showers, which were no problem for biking. I understand there can be a lot more rain at other times of the year, though, and you'll have no protection on a bike.
