We've flown Cape Air from SJU to St. Thomas and were very pleased with them. They still offer the commuter books, at what seem to be a pretty reasonable price. We had a party of four, and the commuter book at the time was not much more than the four tickets we purchased. We weren't sure about the transferability of the commuter coupons, but it looked like it could be a cost-effective way to fly if they would let you use all 10 one-way coupons for five people. Their weight limits on baggage are much more generous than some other airlines in the Caribbean, a real plus if you are bringing snorkeling gear. We had no baggage fees when we went to St. Thomas, despite bring snorkeling gear and traveling with two teenage girls who thought packing light meant only three or four outfits per day and sharing a blow dryer.
