I would not suggest Resaca for younger kids. Our daughter was 15 when she body-surfed there, and is a strong swimmer, but said she could feel the undertow. We had two adults who are very strong swimmers along as well, or I probably wouldn't have let her go in at all. The surf pulled her goggles off and they were immediately gone -- the four of us never could find them. And unless your kids enjoy being mountain goats on a steep rocky trail (many do), the whining and complaining on the uphill hike back may not be worth it, especially if they are tired and sunburned.
Zoni is great -- my favorite of the Culebra beaches.
