I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be curt earlier, my partner and I were recently there and everyone figured out we're a couple and didn't care.
We're here, we're queer, they're used to it.
granted I think PDA is just kinda tacky anywhere, but if you're looking for a white party/palm springs sort of place...keep looking 'cause it's just not there.
Go for the sun, the absolute god-awful perfect beaches (Rosario), the snorkeling, the "whateverness" and you'll find that kind of zen in less than a few hours.
To clarify:"Gay-friendly" just seems beside the point.
I hope you guys still go, it's a great place to relax (but avoid town during ferry landings for now)
