We just returned last night......walk out of the airport and start walking, a taxi will show up in a matter of minutes. Have them take you directly to Tamarindo, $3 bucks a head, most drivers will give you their card and you can call them when you are finished.

Yes, we used short wet suits and it enabled us to stay in the water for a much longer time. On the other hand, I only saw one other person with a short wet suit on the entire 2 weeks we were there.

We had 2 weeks of "red flag" days at Flamenco and Tamarindo, CR and Tamarindo Grand were all extremely calm. Fret not.
