The Dengue Fever center in San Juan has an updated map PDF on their website that shows the areas where it is most common. Culebra is not one of them - most are with large populations, like San Jaun.

Geronimo -- You should be aware that peak for hurricane season is now through early October. Later in October there have been occasional tropical storms (we will be there 10/22 to 11/2) but not as bad. I live in North Carolina, where Hurricane Irene seems poised to visit this weekend.
We went to London in February once and it was sunny and warm. Went to Stonehenge one May and the guard there thanked us for returning the sun after the rainiest spring they had seen in a long time. I'm not too concerned about the weather.
It seems like a lot of trouble and expense to go to Culebra instead of just staying on Isla Grande. We are wanting a relaxing and stress-free 2nd honeymoon! I sincerely appreciate any and all advice!
