Fajardo Ferry Parking

Just wondering how safe it would be to leave a rental car at the ferry parking area (I assume they have a parking area) for a long weekend. I want to take the ferry to culebra on friday and come back monday. Is it safe to leave the car there and also is it allowed and are there any costs for the parking?
