Brava and Resaca both face the North and do not have a protective reef or island in front of them to break the large swells that can come from the North (like Flamenco and Zoni). So swimming at either one can be a challenge. The hike to Brava is much easier. Go on a week day and chances are it's all yours. Culebrita will be busy on the weekend with large boats from the mainland. Flamenco and Zoni will be populated on the weekend as well.
