We were there last year during Holy Week, so it was relatively busy. Our party of four hiked to Resaca and had the whole beach to ourselves all day. Heavenly! It is a steep hike out, though. Make sure you take plenty of water and sunscreen. There's also somewhat of an undertow -- I didn't swim, but the other three, who are all strong swimmers, noticed it but did not have any problems when body-surfing.
I hear Brava is an easier hike, but haven't tried it.
