I highly doubt you'll get tickets by phone, just be there in person early. Again, I'll be taking the ferry next time, because I think it is reliable -- just a fluke for us. Try to be early though, I've heard stories of people having to wait for the next ferry, or the next day in my sisters case. I'd shoot for two hours in advance, and wander around the area. But stay together and don't flash cash!! Trust me, had an experience with that as well (nothing too bad, just a reminder not to flash wads of cash around)
