Turtle nesting

About 5 years ago I saw a leatherback nest on Brava beach. I reported it to the lady that manages the park. She said it was a week earlier than the earliest they had on record. I can't remember if it was the last week of Jan or Feb. Anyone tell me which month it might have it been? I sort of recollect the peak was maybe around the end of Mar. Anyone know the span of the main nesting season?
About 15 years ago I went on turtle tour that was sponsored by the conservation people. I haven't heard of trips recently. Why? Has the frequency of nesting dropped to a point its unreliable to have a sighting? Has it dropped off over the last decade? When I went, it was 2 to 3 nests per night on each of Recarro and Brava. How does this compare to current peak month?
