If you are taking the ferry to Culebra then one suggestion would be to ask your cab driver to stop on the way at the supermarket in Fajardo. It might be called the Pueblo grocery but either way one is there. you can stock up on whatever you want there and bring it on the ferry. If you bring an extra canvas bag or reuseable shopping bag it's easier to carry than the flimsy plasic bags you get at a grocery store.
I guess you could do the same thing if you are flying over stopping at a grocery in San Juan.
