Sadly, I don't live there although I dream about it every day. I have met Doug and MJ in person, and I think I can say we are kindred spirits. If I were there when you are there, I would definitely try to meet up with you.
While Terrie may not know this, I think I encountered her one day at Milka when I got overcharged for a grapefruit (it rang up as an avocado, and I called the cashier on it in my broken Spanish. An American woman behind me joked in Spanish with the cashier about la aquacate -- no es un acquacte; es un ___________ (I forget the word)), but there was no way for Terrie to know it was me. I can't remember now why or how I thought I knew it was Terrie, but in the back of my mind, I know that when/if I ever see her again, I'm going to stick out my hand and say "Hi, I'm Debbie", and she'll know who I am. It's the Culebra way. . .
