Hey ya'll- thanks for all of this great advice!
I have been perusing the site, but reports are from a year ago (5-5-08) and if the economy is as bad there as it is in other tourist destinations, the need to "borrow forever" is ever present! Also, I was looking at Vieques and in the middle of this site it says there has been a rash of robberies - so even taking stuff with in a bag may be asking for trouble. http://www.elyunque.com/vieques_beaches.html Are these problems arising on Culebra/Culebrita? I was also wondering if I take off while my friend siestas or if I want to do some stuff on my own snorkeling, hiking or whatever, is it "safe"? Any tips always welcome! !Gracias!
